Tigers Hoping to Send Seniors Off in Style vs Rhode Island

November 8, 2012

This Saturday at 3:30 the Towson Tigers take on the Rhode Island Rams.  It will be the final home game for the Tigers this season.

It will also be the final home game for multiple Tiger seniors.

The offense will be saying goodbye to:

Senior Running Back Dominique Booker

Grant Enders (qb), Erron Banks (wr), Alex Blake (wr), Dominique Booker (rb), Tom Ryan (wr), Cory Kirby (ot) and Gerrard Sheppard (wr).

The defense will be parting ways with:

Frank Beltre (de), Jordan Dangerfield (s), Matt Morgan (dt), Romale Tucker (de), Brian Boateng (lb) and Brian Chroniger (de).

With 13 Tigers saying farewell, Towson will surely be trying to send them out with a final victory at Johnny Unitas Stadium.

Towson certainly  has the right opponent to fulfill the task.  Towson will be facing the 0-9 Rhode Island Rams.

Senior Safety Jordan Dangerfield

The Rams are not only without a win this season, they have been blown out repeatedly.  Last week the Rams were shutout 39-0 by the Richmond Spiders.

Rhode Island gives up an average of 39 points a game, which is good news for the high powered Towson offense.

You can be sure that Tiger captain Jordan Dangerfield will be looking to deliver a few of his trademark hits in his last Unitas performance.

Other than sending off the seniors with a win, the Tigers must continue to win if they hope to make the playoffs.

The key to this game for Towson is not to look past the struggling Rams.  The Tigers need to attack this game as if they are playing one of the top teams in the conference.

There are plenty of reasons to come out to this game.  But if you needed another one here is the kicker:

Medieval Times will be putting on a half time show featuring a sword fight between knights.

So come on out for football, sword fighting and to say thank you to this year’s senior class.
